Tracey Parton led a local walk starting from St Mary’s Park into Prestwich Clough, Phillips Park Nature Trail and Hurst Wood to Ringley for the lunch stop. Then after lunch back along the river Irwell past Clifton Marina and through Waterdale to the start. Part of the route went along sections of Irwell Sculpture Trail and The Salford Trail. The walk was originally 10 miles long, but due to a bridge closure at Giant's Seat, requiring a reroute, the walk was 11 miles long. After the walk some of the group went to The Church Inn for drinks.
