In a mixture of weather, first rain, then sun, Alan Pilling led a group of 9 walkers on a hilly walk from Hathersage in The Hope Valley, Derbyshire. Most of the climbing, which was steady, was done in the morning from Hathersage to Stanage Edge with, after lunch, one last not too strenuous climb to Higger Tor. After the walk, the group went to The Little John Hotel for drinks.
