On a cold but dry and sunny day, 10 walkers met at The Wharf at Foulridge for an 11 mile walk around The Pendle District of Lancashire. The walk started from the car park at Foulridge, following the Leeds and Liverpool canal. We then had a steep climb to White Moor where we were rewarded with panoramic views over Lancashire. The walk continued to Duck Pond farm, renowned for a Head Sculpture mounted on the farm wall. We then continued along The Pendle Way, descending to Admergill Water and Blacko Water for the lunch break, followed by a pleasant stroll along Pendle Water to Higherfold. The return leg passed along Slipper Hill Reservoir and Lake Burwain (Lower Foulridge Reservoir) back to the start and for some refreshments in the cafe.
