The route continued SE along Cheesden Brook, and on to Black Dad and Greengate Hill, then SE and E along School Lane to Waterloo Farm and south to Mooredge Farm and Plumpton Hall. For the return, the route was west and north, past Hooley Bridge, White Ash, Mawkin Farm and Walmersley Golf Club to re-cross the M66, and walk back to the start.
