John Clements led a group of 11 on this walk on a windy day with a couple of short showers. From Todmorden the route was east alongside the Rochdale Canal to Millwood, then uphill to Cross Stone, Law Hill to Great Rock for a morning break, The walk continued along the Calderdale Way to Hippins Bridge and Shaw Bottom to St Thomas A. Beckett Churchyard, Heptonstall, to visit the grave of Sylvia Plath, poet, who was married to Ted Hughes. The walk continued to Hebden Bridge, and then west, mainly alongside the Rochdale Canal, back to Todmorden and the White Hart.
