13 walkers assembled outside Rawtenstall Railway Station for a 12 mile linear walk to Bury following the Irwell Sculpture Trail along the river Irwell. The route followed the river Irwell to Ewood Bridge and Irwell Vale for the morning break. The route then climbed away from the river up to the waterfall at Dearden Clough along Gincroft Lane and Plunge Road before descending to Stubbins for the lunch stop. The group then continued to Ramsbottom, Summerseat, Burrs and Bury where the remaining 8 walkers went to The Trackside bar for drinks.
